Most fans, especially those of a certain other NY team, will tell you that no matter what their team is going to win it all. It’s great to be confident and of course we all want our teams to win but when you have a manger like Willie “The Sheriff” Randolf all bets are off. This man combined with a shaky bullpen will for a second straight year cost the Mets in the post season. I blame him for last year and the HORRIBLE late game moves in Game 7 vs the Cards. Last years team was better and the bullpen was the best in the NL if not all of baseball. But Willie still found ways to lose. People say…”But he is about to win his second straight NL East title.” Big deal….with all this talent that is nothing. I will put this lineup and starting staff against anyone. Especially with Pedro Martinez back and pitching awesome. Bullpen…eh..not so great outside Wagner. Point is even with a loaded team last year Willie blew it big time. If a man like my favorite Mets manager, Bobby Valentine, were managing the division would have been won 3 weeks ago and they sure as hell wouldhave at least been IN the World Series last year. Maybe this year too.
Don’t get me wrong here….come playoff time I am pulling for nothing except a World Series Championship. It’s not like I want them to lose. I am just saying as a realistic and knowlegeable fan I can easily see a exit in the NLCS if not earlier. We shall see but either way I hate Willie Randolf. Even if the Mets win the World Series I will still hate him. He sucks.
The Mets ain’t going nowheres if they continue playing like this. 10 goddamn errors in 2 games…worthless bullpen…”sheriff” coach! And the sheriff doesn’t really seem concerned. I will f’in lose it if this bullsh!t continues..
Dude, it’s the f’in bullpen for you guys. It’s horrible. The starting pitching, hitting, and fielding (not lately) has been good to great….but the bullpen has to go. Willie doesn’t have a clue…lol. Sorry guys. Rosey is right though.
