Yeah, I’m sure all of your jobs suck too, but I’ve never worked in a place where everyone — yes, EVERYONE, is against you. Whether it’s Administration, always trying to find fault with what you do, and examining every piece of paperwork you fill out (which is A LOT in a system which hasn’t changed anything in a good 25 years) or whether it’s the delinquent kids I have to deal with, who are always trying to get you to break the rules for them, and after you refuse to, figure out a way to break them anyways, which, because of Administration, always comes back to bite YOU in the ass, or simply fellow co-workers bringing up bullshit complaints about you, it sucks, and creates a work environment where everybody is afraid to do anything without permission from “higher up” – even the higher-ups, so nothing productive gets done. It’s bullshit, it really is, and no matter what the people in my position are ALWAYS the ones who get the finger pointed at them. Seriously, having this job feels like I’m just asking for it, since there’s so much that can go wrong, and does go wrong, that’s out of our (the people in my same position) control, and when the shit hits the fan it’s always going to be US that takes the wrap.
That’s it. I’m pissed. Again.
HIcoast.
[Edit: 1:24am] – Oh yeah, and they’re so frickin shady about things too that if not for fellow co-workers giving the heads-up that makes people sit at home the entire week and drink to themselves, the inevitible “Can I see you in my office?” followed by “Oh, hi Superintendent. Long time no see” and the door closing behind you would come as a complete surprise. But I guess if it were a complete surprise people wouldn’t sit at home the entire week and drink to themselves. They’re clever like that. Assholes. AND it’s right before the interview for full-time. Maybe I won’t show up to that afterall. I hear Rush is playing in LA in May. Maybe I’ll go to that and just stay for KS’s wedding, and then some…

Yup… so true.
