No More Bailouts

Alright, so the auto industry bailout I can understand I guess. I can even understand the mortgage company bailouts that started this whole bailout begging. But now we’ve got Larry Flynt asking for a bailout for the porn industry? Who doesn’t want a piece of this stimulus/bailout money? Even a little town with a population of 194 in Alabama asked for $375 Million. Granted, looking at that story now it appears they have rescinded their request. This, however, doesn’t change the fact that once again selfishness and greed are rearing their ugly heads, this time at the cost of… America.

Larry Flynt is claiming that Americans are too depressed and stressed to have sex, and that by somehow giving HIM money WE ALL will start having sex again. I don’t see the logic behind this, and think of all the industries the porn industry shouldn’t get a dime of bailout money. There’s enough free porn on the internet, and last time I checked I couldn’t go and download a 2009 Ford Focus. The only reason I agree with the auto industry bailout is because the sheer amount of people that wouldn’t have a job – and cutting out that many blue-collar jobs all at one time would widen the gap between upper and lower class so fast that the repercussions would be a huge spike in crime in these areas, and likely all over.

I hate the idea of these bailouts, and think that before the company is bailed out the CEOs and higher-ups need to mandatorily “donate” the bulk of their millions to the company, and agree to take only a reasonable salary and little benefits until their corporation is back on track. I say this because the leaders of these companies are who to blame – they are pigs at the trough who never learned when enough is enough. This is obvious with the first bailout – that very next week these company big wigs were “celebrating” at a fancy California resort, getting massages and flying in private jets. The blame goes to them, and I hate the idea that the bailout money is a way for them to keep doing what they’re doing, at the expense of the American economy, countless employees, and every taxpayer in the nation. I think these guys should all be hung upside down by their toenails and beat with broomsticks by the small children of the families whose lives they ruined.

The really pathetic part is that while America’s economy is at its worst since the Great Depression, that assholes like Larry Flynt and, I’m sure, others, can only think of themselves and are wanting a piece of bailout pie. This sickens me that instead of doing something to help, all these people can do is think of themselves and how they can make a quick buck, even if it means taking advantage of a government its people, and their own clients.

Shame on all these CEOs who failed at their jobs, and are still living like rich assholes because we have no other choice but to save their companies and employees, and shame on Larry Flynt for being a disgusting greedy crippled piece of shit who is only thinking of himself. If anything, he should be advocating the government sending all of us a check, or mailing us all porn coupons for Hustler.
