What is SlapTheFace?

Whether this is your first visit to slaptheface.com or you’re a regular reader, the information on this page will help to maximize your experience here, and hopefully enlighten you to what this site is here for, as well as provide an outlet for things that you’re excited about.

What is SlapTheFace?
Simply put, slaptheface.com is a website ran by Steve and Mark (more information about them can be found on the about page). The reason for starting this site though, is that both of us had some things that we, well, just wanted to say. Much of what we say is trash-talk, such as how irritating the fat chicks upstairs are or just some simple ranting about the stupid things people do. But there’s also engaging political conversations, reviews of products or services, sports talk, and Mark’s discussions of music.

So, what’s the big deal, then?
We’re glad you asked. In order to create more of a community feel, we also give you, the reader, an opportunity to not only comment on what we talk about, but also to write your own posts about whatever is on your mind. And when we say whatever, I literally mean whatever. Perhaps you got cut off on the freeway today, and are still angry. Write about it! Maybe you got a picture of the car that did it. Put that on here too. Or maybe you really liked a movie you just saw – ANYTHING. The only rules are that you be honest, don’t steal other people’s work, and try to keep the profanity to a minimum (some profanity is okay, but really, it’s more enjoyable the more creative you get with your word choice). The point is that we want to establish an open and honest community that discusses a wide range of topics and interests.

Cool! How do I do it?
We’re glad you asked! All you have to do is click on the right side where it says “register” and you can sign up, and start slapping faces (posting your own rants, reviews, whatever). They will show up on the “your rants” page, which can be accessed via the sidebar on the left. If you’ve already registered or have a wordpress blog, then there’s no need to re-register, just log in and start posting away! To comment, all you need to do is enter your name and email address, and comment! If you want a cool little picture or logo of yourself next to your post or comment, just go to gravatar.com and sign up for a globally recognized avatar using the same email address you registered here or on wordpress.com with, and it will show up automagically with each of your posts.
